I'll only add two points: 1) Get software that can calibrate the suspension (I bought RSW). 2) By the third time I removed/installed the compressor, I could do it in about 20 mins. If you have an impact wrench, follow the extension instructions above but use that for the top bolt.
For the past few weeks, i have had an intermittent suspension fault C1A18-64. It hasn't progressed in dropping to the bump stops, or going into limp mode and is easily reset able by switching off, locking and unlocking. Has anyone experienced this and if so, what was the rectification? cheers Geoff : 24th Apr 2019 12:30 pm
The IIDtool shows the transmission fault as "U0416-86 (2F) Invalid Data from Vehicle Dynamics control module" * When I start moving I will also get an HDC Fault System Not Available and Cruise Control Not Allowed and the Suspension light will come on and display "Suspension Lowered". It seems to go somewhere in between Access and Normal height.
SYMPTOM: System detects extended mode unnecessarily when lowering. POSSIBLE CAUSES: Crossed gallery and air spring pipes. Incorrect valve block installed to front or rear. Damage or blockage in air harness. ACTION: Refer to the guided diagnostic routine on the approved diagnostic system.

This is part 1 of our video series trying to fix our Land Rover Discovery 3 with faulty air suspension. We look at the fault code and the potentially easy fix of changing the relay. To
UMCp. Disconnect the positive battery terminal from the main starting battery. (I assume that you only have one battery in your 3. If not, disconnect the others as well and leave them disconnected until after all is done.) Connect the negative cable to the positive cable.

You might want to look at that, spray with some WD40, as a preventative measure, or replace the little inexpensive parts with it, and treat the new ones with anti-seize. This issue is usually associated with seemingly slipping in drive, and the gear indicator not working, or displaying incorrectly on the dash.
The rear anti-roll bar bushings were causing the rear thumping noise. I also changed these myself and this instantly cured the problem. Suspension fault light still intermittently is on--aside from not being able to adjust the suspension while the fault is active, there is no problem, so not going to worry about it.
Air suspension stopped working, the suspension lights come on dashboard when I start the car, I can hear clicking from the trunk area and then the suspension lights go out. The vehicle can't be raised or lowered. My diagnostics tool reads C1A13-64 Pressure does not decrease when venting gallery.
